John started his culinary career over 20 years ago at the Bridgewater Village Store. Learning anything and everything he could, he eventually wound up at TKs in Danbury where he gained a local following with his extensive menu of unique and delicious wing sauces and flavors. He went on to win multiple competitions with his wings, building a reputation there that solidified him in the local cooking scene. When he took over the kitchen of The Spot in Bethel, CT, his clan followed. Many would flock to this popular downtown dive just for Johnny's famous pub-style comfort food, and rightly so.

We are thrilled to have him at the helm of our kitchen as he continues to wow us all with his mouth-watering creations. Though on the surface he may look a little scary, his inspiring presence and compassionate outlook make for a great atmosphere here at Duke's!
